DATA PRIVACY NOTICE

This Data Privacy Notice sets forth the manner by which DAVAO ORIENTAL SOFTTECH ACADEMY collects, records, organizes, stores, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information submitted through this registration system, in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules and regulations.

The institution may collect and process personal data you voluntarily provide, including, but not limited to:

Personal and demographic information (full name, sex, birthdate, age, civil status, nationality, etc.)
Contact and address information (mobile number, email address, province/city/barangay, and other location details)
Educational information (preferred course/program, major, previous schools attended, year graduated, etc.)
Family and guardian information, where applicable (parent/guardian name, relationship, contact details, and address)
Any other information you intentionally enter in this registration form to support your application

2) Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing

Your personal information shall be collected and processed for legitimate academic and administrative purposes, which may include the following:

To evaluate and process your registration/application and to establish your applicant profile
To create, maintain, and manage your student applicant account and related school records
To communicate notices, updates, and instructions relevant to admission/enrollment and school processes
To verify the accuracy, completeness, and authenticity of the information you have submitted
To comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and lawful directives, as may be applicable

Processing is undertaken pursuant to your consent, the necessity of processing for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, and/or compliance with legal obligations, as applicable under RA 10173.

3) Disclosure and Sharing of Personal Information

Access to personal information shall be limited to authorized personnel of DAVAO ORIENTAL SOFTTECH ACADEMY who have a legitimate need to know such information in connection with official school functions.
